They have the capability to manufacture high temperature (550ºF/290ºC) load cells and pins necessary for many steel industry applications. They also make a wide product line for the test market, aerospace, tank weighing, batch weighing, and industrial automation markets. Utilize Measurement Specialists for all your calibration needs to 1.6 million lbf in compression and 600K lbf in tension. NIST traceable certificates are available. Measurement Specialists has the ability to do custom machining for your company and has a long history of providing that service to the aerospace as well as oil /gas, test, and other industries.

Measurement Specialists has been designing and building weighing systems and load cells for the Steel Industry for over 25 years. They provide high temperature load cells with survivability up to 550°F for Turrets, Transfer Cars, both Ladle and Scrap Cars. They routinely construct load cells for Billet weighing systems, Coil Scales, and Rolling Mill Stands in any capacity – some in excess of 5,000,000 lbs. With their 1,600,000 pound test stand, they can test many of these high capacity custom cells to full scale. They have manufactured custom load pins over 1,000,000 lb. and custom scales over 800,000 lb.
When the harsh environment of your steel mill results in a damaged load cell, they can also rebuild virtually any load cell to original specifications.
